This Toyota highlander limited 2008 Key Fob needed repair to fix the unlock button. The tactile button switch was worn out by being pressed hundreds of times. Typically we would buy a replacement button from one of our vendors but this one was especially difficult to source based on its age. In this case we went ahead and swapped another button from the trunk release. After doing this we found that the button still did not work. Upon further investigation we found that a via which connects between the layers of the board was at fault. From this damaged via we were able to run a jumper to the other solder spot on the other side of the board. Take a look at the in-depth repair demonstrated on video.

taken, particularly if the battery is left plugged in when the screen is removed or connected to the logic board of the device. There is a chance that if the battery is left plugged in, a resistor on the logic board will be damaged, causing the backlight circuit to malfunction.

Something as simple as the ear speaker being damaged from water or technician damage would typically render the Face ID to fail if the whole flex cable assembly was replaced.
