There can be several problems that lead to the dreaded HDMI port failure. Among these are the port itself (99% of the time it's the port itself...they are made poorly and also soldered poorly out of the box), HDMI filters located near the HDMI port, the Panasonic IC chip also located near the HDMI port (these all work together to give you a picture on you television screen) and/or faulty board wiring.
